While in Munich, one can have the opportunity to visit the famous Austrian ski resorts. Most of them can be reached from the Bavarian capital within one to three hours. The ski season usually runs from late November to April; however, it is worth visiting the Alps to enjoy the breathtaking scenery at other times of the year, too. We have been to several popular Austrian ski-towns and in the articles in this section we are conveying our personal impressions of what we have seen and experienced.

Ski Resorts of Ischgl and Kappl

Two Tyrolean ski resorts, Ischgle and Kappl, are located in the region called Silvretta. The ski slopes here are known as Silvretta Arena. Ischgl, located right on the border between Austria and Switzerl, is probably the most fashionable ski resort, while Kappl is more family-oriented.
